Cookie Policy
Every cookie this site uses, audited automatically every day
Last updated: 2026-10-04. Cookie list last verified automatically: 2026-10-19 04:20. · See also our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise the same browser on the next request — which is how a site can keep you signed in, or remember that you have already answered a question such as this one. The same rules apply to similar technologies such as localStorage, so this policy covers those too.
2. When we ask for your consent
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work are set without consent, as the law allows. Everything else — statistics, functional conveniences, marketing — is set only after you agree, and you may change or withdraw that agreement at any time. Refusing optional cookies does not restrict your access to the site in any way.
We record your choice (which categories you accepted, when, and under which version of this list) so that we can show that consent was given. The IP address in that record is stored only as an irreversible hash.
3. How this list is kept accurate
The list below is not maintained by hand. Once a day an audit script runs on our server and:
- reads the site's own source code and notes every place that sets a cookie or writes to browser storage;
- requests the public pages of the site over HTTPS and records the cookies the server actually sends back;
- looks for content loaded from third-party domains, because such providers can set cookies of their own;
- updates the register below, retires entries that are no longer used, and flags anything new that has not yet been described.
If the audit finds a new non-essential cookie, the consent banner reappears so that you can decide about it. Anything found but not yet classified is treated as optional, never as necessary.
4. Cookies in use
Strictly necessary (set without consent)
Needed for the site to work: keeping you signed in, protecting forms against misuse and remembering this cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Stored for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
cookie | usedmachinery24.com | Keeps your session on the server: whether you are signed in, the anti-forgery token for forms and one-off messages such as “listing saved”. Without it you could not log in or submit a form. | Session (deleted when the browser closes) |
um24_consent |
cookie | usedmachinery24.com | Remembers your cookie choice so the consent banner is not shown on every page, and records which categories you allowed. | 6 months |
Functional (only with your consent)
Remember preferences that make the site more convenient, such as display or search settings.
None in use at the moment.
Statistics (only with your consent)
Help us see which machines and articles people look at, so we can improve the listings. Used only in aggregate.
None in use at the moment.
Marketing (only with your consent)
Would allow advertising or remarketing to be measured. We do not use any at the moment.
None in use at the moment.
Found, not yet described
None in use at the moment — everything the audit found has been described.
5. Your current choice
You have not made a choice yet — the banner at the bottom of the page is waiting for you. Until then, only strictly necessary cookies are used.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings — look for “Cookies and site data” in Chrome, “Cookies and Site Data” in Firefox, “Manage Website Data” in Safari, or “Cookies and site permissions” in Edge. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent signing in and submitting forms here, because the session cookie is strictly necessary. Deleting our consent cookie means the banner will ask you again.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies, or about the audit behind this page, go to [email protected]. How we handle personal data more generally is described in the Privacy Policy.
